It is with immense gratitude and a deep sense of accomplishment that I present this message as we celebrate the successful completion of our International School Award (ISA) programme. The ISA journey has been a transformative experience for our school community. It has provided a unique platform for our learners and teachers to explore global issues, appreciate cultural diversity, and develop the skills necessary to thrive in an interconnected world. Through carefully planned activities and meaningful collaborations, our students have been exposed to learning experiences that extend far beyond the walls of the classroom.
Throughout this journey, we successfully implemented a number of impactful projects. Through Fitness Across Borders, our students collaborated with G.D Goenka Public School, East Delhi, India, an international partner school to explore healthy lifestyles, physical well-being, and the importance of maintaining good health across different cultures. In Healthy Plates Around the World, learners discovered the richness of global cuisines and nutritional practices while fostering appreciation for cultural diversity through international collaboration.
Our My Classroom, Your Classroom project created opportunities for students to share learning experiences, compare educational environments, and build meaningful connections with peers from different backgrounds. These interactions strengthened communication skills, broadened perspectives, and promoted mutual understanding among young learners.
The Upcycling Fashion Show encouraged creativity, innovation, and environmental responsibility. Students transformed discarded materials into beautiful and functional fashion pieces, demonstrating that sustainability and creativity can work hand in hand. This project inspired learners to become more conscious of environmental conservation and responsible consumption.
One of the most rewarding aspects of our ISA programme was the Reducing Inequality project. Through collaboration with Assembly of his Glory school, a low-cost school within our community, our students gained valuable insights into social responsibility, empathy, and inclusion. This initiative reinforced the importance of giving back, promoting equal opportunities, and building bridges that uplift others within society.
These projects have not only enriched academic learning but have also nurtured critical thinking, teamwork, leadership, creativity, global awareness, and compassion. They have empowered our students to become active global citizens who understand that their actions can positively influence their communities and the wider world.
I sincerely appreciate the unwavering support of our school management, dedicated staff, enthusiastic students, supportive parents, partner schools, and community stakeholders whose contributions made this journey successful. Your commitment, collaboration, and encouragement have been invaluable.
As wecelebrate this achievement, we recognize that the ISA programme is not merely an award but a commitment to sustaining international-mindedness, fostering global partnerships, and preparing our learners to become architects of a better future.
Together, we have demonstrated that learning knows no boundaries and that through collaboration, innovation, and shared purpose, we can create meaningful change.
Thank you. Onyinye Oke
